Use the cards as a memory prompt by sticking on walls or objects around the house where you are likely to use the appropriate phrases, eg. ‘Ith do bhiadh’ and ‘Bha sin blasta’ in the kitchen or ‘Thalla a-mach a chluich’ on the back door.
Punch a hole in the top left corner and thread on a string for carrying the appropriate cards on trips to the park or wherever you might be able to use the phrases, eg. ‘Breab e‘ or ‘Feuch a-rithist‘.
Clearly some of the cards can be varied. Make your own additions to the cards and stick on.
Cover the words on the cards and try to remember the phrase by looking at the picture.
Please note that phonetics have been included on the cards as an approximate guide to pronunciation. If possible, check your pronunciation with a Gaelic speaker, playleader or tutor.
